Nail Diaries: A S’well Birch Look

This was meant to go up for Earth Day, but alas, my typically dormant social life made a brief appearance in celebration of my finally finishing my degree last week (woohoo). So let’s just say this was intended for Earth Month (as I type furiously in an attempt to publish this before April ends in an hour . . . whoops).

Initially the plan was to drone on about how important it is that we stop using plastic bottles and stick to Earth-friendly reusable one, but I’m aiming for a non-patronizing post here. So, we’ll keep things simple and to the point: I got myself a new, spiffy water bottle. And yes, it’s a S’well water bottle. I know S’well bottles seem to have become the latest fad, but they really are quite functional. They work magic when it comes to holding temperature (hot or cold), they’re leak-proof, and they’re pretty (not that aesthetics have anything to do with function . . . but let’s overlook that).  So pretty, in fact, that my birch-patterned one inspired this nail design:

The polishes:

  • Sally Hansen‘s Pardon My Garden (530)
  • Sonia Kashuk‘s Tauped (16)
  • Illamasqua‘s DWS
  • Essie‘s blanc

And a close-up in much better lighting:

Stay hydrated and be kind to the planet, people. Always. Bonus points if you can do it in style with a pretty bottle!

’til next time,

Meg ❤
