Nail Diaries: Burberry Plaid

While few of us will seriously entertain the thought of shelling out a month’s salary (often more) to call a designer piece our own, many of us will sheepishly admit to drooling over such luxury items.  As a full-time student, I certainly don’t have the funds to purchase a Céline or Chloé, but that doesn’t stop me from staring and dreaming.

In Ry’s case, she has always aspired to own a Burberry trench coat à la Emma Watson.  I say aspire because I have every belief that one day Dr. Ryann will be strutting around in her plaid-lined, camel or navy trench.  You mark my words…

In the meantime, we’ll settle for treating ourselves to the occasional irresistible nail polish, and turning our designer dreams into dreamy designs, like this one:

The polishes:

  • Sally Hansen’s nail art pen in Fine Black (410)
  • Sally Hansen’s nail polish striper in Red (220)
  • Essie’s blanc (001)
  • NYC’s Fashion Safari (201)

The technique:

  • Striping tape + more striping tape + many more hours of squinting than any sane person would care to do

Posh, no? We’d like to think so…fake it ’til you make it, right? Thanks for reading!

’til next time,

Meg ❤
